The essay highlights one aspect of technological evolution which impacts on the labour market and, consequently, on our labour law systems: the advent of so-called labour platforms, entailing disintermediation in matching supply and demand. It examines the prospect development of the instruments aimed at ensuring platform workers minimum adequate occupational, financial, and welfare security.
